ABOUT THIS CAMPAIGN
On Monday at 4.17 am local time, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey and Syria. The epicenter was near Gaziantep, Turkey, the largest refugee-hosting region bordering Syria. Given its magnitude, many of our partners, including in Lebanon and Iraq, could also feel the earthquake!
Thousands of people have lost their lives and are missing or trapped beneath buildings. The number goes up every minute, and the death toll could be as high as 10,000 people.
Millions of displaced people live in the affected region in Syria and across Gaziantep. Many of our partners are working tirelessly to save as many people as possible right now! Our partners are pulling babies, children, and families out of destroyed buildings and providing health care, food, and temporary shelter.
Here is how we can all help – There is an URGENT need to fund search and rescue teams, tents, blankets, heaters, food, water, medical supplies, and much more to keep people alive. To make things worse, it's been snowing, and people are freezing.
Please donate to our emergency fundraiser to help save as many lives as possible.
